Liberty clients turned out in their numbers for this fascinating tour of Rolls-Royce and Bentley Heritage dealer P & A Wood.
Paul Wood, co-owner, welcomed everyone and gave the assembled an insight into how he and his brother Andrew’s love of old cars, even before they were old enough to drive, lead to the founding of this hugely successful Essex family business in 1967.
The impressive thing is that the strong core values such as attention to detail and good old fashioned customer service hold as true today as they did way back then.
The tour split into two groups with Georgina Wood, Paul’s daughter and brand manager of the business, taking one and the other was conducted by Christoff.
Georgina has definitely inherited her father’s passion for Rolls-Royce cars, particularly the Heritage and vintage models. Speaking with fascinating knowledge of her subject, Georgina’s tour had everything; history, emotion and wit.
Having been treated to the tour, we then heard from Matt Deegan of St. James’s Place who touched on key areas of inheritance tax that any would-be Rolls Royce owner, or indeed anyone with an asset such as a valuable family home, should be aware. For those who would like to know more about this area of taxation especially post-election, should reserve a place at out next seminar at Boreham House on 18th June.
After a wonderful buffet lunch prepared by Mrs Wood, we all had the rare opportunity to test drive not only a Classic 1963 Silver Cloud but also the new Phantom and Ghost models.
Thank you to everyone who e-mailed with such glowing words of appreciation.
We all really hope to be able to repeat this event next year.
